Nora Fingscheidt spent her school years in Germany and Argentina. In 2003, she became involved in setting up the self-organised fim school  filmArche e.V in Berlin. As a board member for international cooperations, she organised youth film projects in over 20 countries. During this time, she also did a training course with Sigrid Andersson to become an acting coach and worked as a director trainee for the film “Goethe!”. In 2008, she started studying directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. Her second-year film “Synkope” was nominated for the German Short Film Award. In 2012, she participated in an exchange programme at UCLA in Los Angeles and a year later she shot the documentary film “Boulevard’s End”. Since then, Nora is shooting both fiction and documentary films. She completed her studies in Ludwigsburg with the documentary film “Ohne diese Welt”, which she shot in Argentina and has been honored with the Max-Ophüls-Award and the First Steps Award. Her debut feature film “Systemsprenger” has world premier in the international competition of the 69. Berlinale 2019.
